Summary Profile

Ioannis Balampanidis holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and is a researcher at the Centre for Political Research in the Department of Political Science and History, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. Has also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of the Aegean within the framework of the project ‘Transformations of national and popular sovereignty in times of crisis’. He is graduate of the National School of Public Administration, member of the editorial board of the review Synchrona Themata and also member of ECPR Standing Group on Southern European Politics.

He is the author of Eurocommunism: From Communist to Radical Left in Europe (Polis, Athens 2015, and Routledge, New York and London 2018).
