Sofia Tipaldou is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow at the University of Manchester for the project Russian Nationalism and the Ukraine Crisis: The Impact of Nationalist Actors on Russian Foreign Policy (RUSNAT). She has an interdisciplinary background with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Piraeus, an M.A. in European Studies from the European University Viadrina, and an M.Phil. and PhD in European Integration and International relations from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Her research interests lie within the field of political behaviour, with a focus on how far-right parties and movements influence both governments (the decision-making process) and voters (voting behaviour), and of comparative politics, with an area study focus on Russia and Greece. Her work has been published in Europe-Asia Studies, European Societies, Nationalities Papers, Demokratizatsiya and Revista CIDOB d'Afers Internacionals.
