Dora Giannaki

Dora Giannaki is a Political Scientist and Security & Justice Expert. She holds a first degree in Political Science from Panteion University (Athens), a Master’s degree (MA) in Political Theory from Essex University and a Master's degree (MA) in Security & Justice from the University of Leeds.

Since 2009 she has been collaborating on a regular basis, as a research associate and as a political and policy advisor, with members of the Greek Parliament and with governmental bodies (such as ministries, general secretariats, etc.). From March 2015 to May 2016, Dora has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA), while since February 2017 she has been collaborating with the National Security School giving lectures on radicalisation and policing issues. She is a member of the Radicalisation Awareness Network (RAN) Pool and a member of the Executive Board of the Hellenic Political Science Association. She has participated, as a researcher and trainer, in a variety of national and European programmes on Youth, as well as in programmes on Security, Intercultural Education and Human Rights (with an emphasis on the training of personnel in law enforcement agencies).

Her research interests include: Internal and External Security Issues, Radicalisation and Extremism, Police and Policing, European Youth Policies, Human Rights, Intercultural Education.
